Santa at Steeds Dairy Farm

Each year we go to visit Santa and have our picture taken.  All of the pictures since Colin was a baby are displayed throughout our home during the Christmas season.  I am so thankful that the boys still humor me with this tradition.  This year of course looked a bit different.  Our choices were a Santa indoors with a plexiglass guard shielding us from potential germs OR an outdoor Santa session at a local farm.  We went with the local farm and our decision proved to be a fabulous choice for our crew.  The little girls got to chat.  Cha asked a lot about the reindeer, what they like to eat and how they fly.  Maryn was simply dumbfounded by the fact that Santa knew the loft needed to be cleaned and then he told her she and her sister should really stop arguing in the car.  The pics of Maryn below just make me laugh - her face is trying to explain all of the above and she was speechless!

Following our visit with Santa, we drove to SC to spend the evening with G-Mom and G-Dad....and, of course, eat Rushs.  We went in with masks, spent the evening with great food and even better company.  G-Dad gave the children a binder filled with silver dollars from as long ago as the late 1800s.  The children loved looking at the different coins with G-Dad.

The holiday season has looked so different this year but it has also looked much the same.  Thankful we have been able to make accommodations to be with our family in safe environments for all.
