My time with these three younger girls has been a blessing.
Maryn tends to do school her way :)
Maryn and her friend Charlotte built their very own "egg drop" and tested it out by dropping it from the porch together!
Maddox and Brooklyn did their bi-annual fundraiser for a cause of their choice. This season was for The Augusta Players as the girls have grown from belting out their own tunes as toddlers to taking their talents to the stage! They had some of their theatre friends to help as well! Fun for all!
Blueberry Scones were a hit with our customers....Mads did a fabulous job baking them!
Dr. Seuss Day
Thankful for a village that provided a cute dress for Cha to wear to school!
Sometimes days are long and you are just ready for bed!
Pryce went on his senior class mission trip to West Virginia....they had a great week serving others!
Colin turned 21. Geez, that is a hard one to even type.
MK built a tent for the two littles to sleep in. It even had a living room and a sleeping room....so fun!
Oh Fin! Mads was a having an intense conversation with him about his bad breath, ha!
US National Whitewater Center Family Day
We had the best time....the children spent the day doing ropes courses, zip lines, and free fall jumps. The outdoor time together was fabulous.
Following our time in NC, we gathered with some of our family at Ryan's parent's home....what a blessing it was to be with everyone!
Maddox has been working very hard for her Newsies audition....singing, dancing, reading lines, repeat. She has loved every minute of this time and looks forward to more opportunities for theatre involvement!
Maryn and Kendyl. Precious friends. Full circle story.
Maryn and Chapman spent hours creating with Wiki sticks under our kitchen table....they have become the best little friends.
One year ago, our lives looked so different.....we were all quarantined due to a virus that many knew and understood nothing about. It was peaceful in some ways because our family was all together under one roof, dependent on one another for fun and laughter, we had no involvement outside of our home so we had time to do little projects, take family walks, etc. Fast forward a year and we are slowly getting back to what our life was like before Covid. We spend many hours apart and our family dinners are scattered, the reality of a large family doing all of the things! It can be a bit overwhelming at times trying to keep it all organized and make it work but man I try to cherish and relish in every moment. My people are growing up. And I am growing old - ha. It's fun yet at the same time bittersweet.
On a funny note, Maryn recently asked me if I was sure I wasn't Chinese.....I told her I was pretty sure I wasn't Chinese. She asked if I was sure I wasn't born in China....again, I told her I was pretty sure I wasn't. I asked her why she had these questions and she said, "Well, you have some black hair on the top of your head like Chinese people do." And with that, I called my salon to be sure my appointment was coming up soon....my roots were coming thru and Maryn was letting me know!
