Roar of Love 2018

Going back a bit, the annual Roar of Love production was a big hit with our family this year.  Ryan reprised his role of Father Christmas which allowed him to be on stage with all four girls for the show!
Our littles were super excited to be a part of the Roar this year....Maryn was the perfect little pony and Chapman was a sweet cherub.  We called C "the little lost cherub" because she would tend to do her own rendition of the dance vs what the class was doing - at 3, you can get away with this and everyone thinks it is adorable.
A Fox, a Pony, a Fairy Sprite, a Cherub and Father Christmas
I used to tease Ryan and tell him that I was going to volunteer him to be Father Christmas....I knew the role was filled by fathers of dancers and I just thought it would be the best thing for him to do with his daughters.  He wasn't a fan of the idea and begged me not to volunteer him.  Then one day, out of the blue, a coordinator for the show came to me and asked, "Do you think your husband would like to be Father Christmas in the Roar?"  OF COURSE he would!  And that was that....now he has been Father Christmas each year that we have a Pony in the production....it's become their tradition of sorts and one that all of the girls and our family will cherish.
These two.  Their characters for the show this year pretty much sum up their character as a whole....they are either both being sweet cherubs or the wildest of ponies!
 My Fairy Sprite
The Fairy Sprites are some of my favorites....they have the best dance filled with shrills of joy throughout.  Maddox has had a great year in ballet.  Her teachers have all adored her and encouraged her every step of the way!
 Our Fox
This girl.  From screaming at the top of her lungs to get off of the stage during her first year of Roar to solo dancing nine years later....she is graceful, poised and on top of her game....we were thrilled to see her shine and enjoy every minute of being the Fox.
