MK

Freedom
MK has been dancing with the Columbia County Ballet performing company for five years.  She is simply beautiful to watch, so graceful with every step she takes.  Freedom was performed in a local outdoor theatre on September 11. For most shows that our girls are in, I watch rehearsals and become very familiar with the shows before the actual performances.  For this one, I did not.  Performance day was a total surprise to me and to our family.  I was moved to tears as I watched the show....the talent from my own child, the hard work that clearly paid off, the choreography was stunning, all in all just a wonderful evening of ballet.

The dance dad at his finest.  This guy loves his family and is always there for support be it in sports or dance!  We are all lucky to call him ours!
Homecoming 2021
Our gorgeous MK
I love that she has friends she has literally grown up with
Amelia - they were at swim team practices together before they could even swim

Caleigh and Camden....our twin friends who have loved our MK since their first day together in 3rd grade.

And her friends who are all part of the gang....they always have the best time together no matter what the occasion is.
And her sister friends....I pray everyday that these four grow to be the best of friends!
So proud of our MK!  As a high school Freshman, I have witnessed her step up to the plate and take on the weight of AP classes, a higher level skill of dance (she was promoted to the Apprentice level), join the student government association at school, teach ballet to younger girls who dream to be like her, and to navigate all of the above in stride. She has a gift in making all things look easy but to those who know her behind the scenes, we see how hard she works and know her determination to do all things well.

Random 2021 Fall

Chapman had Community Helper Day at school and chose to be a Vet
Maddox had her friends from school over for an afternoon of swimming fun
Chapman was beyond excited to check out her very first book from the school library
Maddox and the dance carpool crew....spending time with these girls each week is entertaining to say the least!  They work hard, achieve so much together and encourage one another like nobody else can.
Maryn is the added Mini Troupe bonus to the Junior Company dance crew one day each week!

**I am looking at these pics and realizing that I should note that the girls dressed themselves, from their "weekend drawer" and they are the cutest! Note, no bows but the jewelry is on par.**

One day a lizard got into our basement.  I don't do creatures.  The girls were home and of no use except to take pictures while laughing at me trying to catch it.  He went to the highest place possible to escape my attempts to capture him.  With a broom, I knocked him down and somehow caught him in a trashcan.  He was released without harm and I needed a moment to recover.
A new shaved ice store opened in our neighborhood.  The girls are big fans:)

All things below represent just a portion of randomness in our home.  Fifties Day,  Fun Run,  Chapman in a Dr. DoLittle skit as a baby fox, park days, well visits, cousin Jay's stage debut in Frozen Jr., my first reading time with Chapman's class at school.....not pictured are the two boys off at school tackling their Freshman and Senior years, MK who runs from anything that may suggest I am going to take a photo of her....and Mads who is tending to be more selective as well with camera time.  I am embracing this stage of life with the bigs yet missing my "hey, mom, take my picture!" time with them but also loving that I have two littles who still beg to be in front of the camera!
