Best weekend with my people. Colin was home for the holiday - always good when all six babies are sleeping under one roof! We hosted 18 teen boys for DNOW weekend - great group of guys! We had Maddox’s class guinea pig, Josh. The girls loved having little Josh to take care of! Maryn enjoyed a day with her Girl Scout buddies at World Thinking Day. We celebrated Ryan’s birthday, the day he turns as old as me:) and that is always a celebration. AND, Ryan and I also celebrated 22 years of marriage. I love our life together! Chapman joined in with Maddox, Maryn and I to watch a show of Little House on the Prairie. She quickly fell asleep. I love holding my baby girl as she sleeps. To think the night we met, she would not allow me to hold her as she went to sleep - she cried until I put her in bed with Maryn. Three years later, this little girl wants her mommy. She will ask for “snuggles” and 90% of the time, she falls asleep in my arms for naps and bedtime. She is a mommy’s girl through and through.

June 2019

Each year during the month of June, our time is divided by beach trips and swim meets.  This year proved to be no different.  We had three swimming this year....Pryce bailed out two years ago and is yet to join back in the fun.  Colin is too old :/ and Chapman hasn't quite made it the length of the pool yet.  So that leaves us with our three little fish....MK, Maddox, and Maryn.  MK is always a boss in the pool with backstroke being her strongest, best finishing stroke. Backstroke always takes her to the Allstar event at the end of the summer swim season.  She swims all strokes well and always finishes in the top 3....she is a natural and makes all swimming look easy.  Maddox does not love to swim.  She does not love to do anything outside and isn't a true lover of activities that might somewhat look like exercising....so swimming isn't high on her list of favorite things to do.  BUT, that said, she too makes swimming look easy.  She squirmed at the thought of swim team.  She hasn't been in the pool competitively in two years due to her surgery last year.  I was a bit worried how it would all go for her....BUT, she nailed it!  Tiny and Mighty is her theme....she jumped in each meet and took off to the other side which led to her also being in the Allstar event at the end of the season.  Allstars are the Top 20 swimmers in our entire area spanning over Georgia and South Carolina.  Boss.  Maryn jumped in for her third season of swim and donned the pool with grace right in the footsteps of her big sisters.  She, too, is a speedy little thing yet in true Maryn fashion, she likes to swim a little, look for our faces in the crowd, wave, smile and then continue to the end of the pool to finish her race.  Gosh, we love this girl.  She has her own little style.  Her favorite part of each meet was the candy that she was allowed to eat. Love my little fish and so thankful they love to swim!
