Our First Graduate

Colin graduated from high school May 26, 2018
For me, the most memorable moment during this day was seeing him march into the huge arena filled with people.  I yelled his name - this place is HUGE, it's where concerts are held, sports games are played - and in this ginormous, loud crowd, Colin looked up with the biggest grin ever and I snapped the picture below.
In that moment, I got a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes as I thought to myself no matter how old he gets, he will always know his mama's loud voice calling his name!  (Probably sappy, but goodness, he is my first baby and I am full of emotions!)
The smartest thing we did on this day was hire a babysitter for the three littles....sitting through a 3 hour ceremony would have sent them over the edge....but, the girls joined in the excitement as we snapped pics prior to leaving!
These two.  I have always loved their relationship.  They are different, yet same; they compliment each other, support each other, laugh with each other....they are the best of friends and I thank God everyday for giving me these two first.
The boy who made us parents.  The experiment, the leader of the pack.  We apologize daily for each and every mistake we have made along the way....he has given us a lot of grace over the years.
Colin's memory board for church recognition day.  Our church has been a backbone for this guy.
On Sunday, May 27, it was celebration time with family and close friends.
This guy is so loved by many and we were blessed by those who came out to show support for him as he enters a new phase of life.
Friends.  Colin has had some of the best friends for life....friends made when he was young, friends made through life experiences, friends he has grown with.  We are thankful for these guys!
The photo booth was a hit for all.  Aunt Nellie, the one who said she may never have children....Colin changed her mind on that one....she saw him and thought babies weren't so scary after all....she has always adored him, teaching him a few things his mama wouldn't, and laughing with him along the way.
And her status will always be "Fun Aunt Nellie"...
Our graduation weekend was full of fun, great food, lots of laughs....
and most importantly, we were surrounded by family!
Colin Ryan, we love you to the moon and back and cannot wait to see how God uses you to do big things as your grow.  Mercer University here he comes!
