Who Lets Their Children Bathe In A Backyard Pool Anyway???

The boys went out for a golf game and the girls decided to play in the backyard pool. What started out as a little fun, ended up taking a turn.....
First there was the tasting of the water in the hair.....
Then, they decided they wanted to actually wash their hair.....
and Maddox has learned fast - around here, everyone helps everyone, no matter your age!

All clean.

Our friend, BUSY.

Our week at a glance....swim practice, a swim meet, a follow-up with the surgeon (a good report, she does have a fistula but we are hoping that it will get smaller so that surgery can be avoided), a speech assessment, school, friends, and last but certainly not least, ballet camp for our MK.
Our girl loves to twirl....
At the age of four, she is living her dream of being a prima ballerina....

Before children, I thought I knew busy. In fact, I didn't. With one child, the thought occurred to me that I was busy. In fact, not nearly as busy as I was with two children. With two children, one a toddler and one an infant, I believed we had personally met busy. In fact, we had on one level, but not the same level of busy that came along with having two children and a puppy. Then, I knew we had met busy. But oh we weren't finished yet. Then came three children and a puppy - along with baseball, basketball, piano, speech, ballet, homeschool and swimming, just to name a few. And, then, came four children and a dog, and busy is our best friend. So many will say to me, "Wow, you all are always so busy!" And, even on the overwhelming, "how am I going to get all done?" days, I remind myself to embrace our friend busy. In due time, and far too quick for my taste, our friend busy will be gone and our busy days will be filled with many memories and I am quite sure I will ask myself, "How did we do it all?" I am so thankful for these busy times and I am even more thankful for my children, the ones who keep me busy!

Father's Day

For the first time in two weeks, our family was together for more than 48 hours, all under one roof, including our little Fin. This made for a happy daddy and a very happy day for our family. We love our daddy and our Ry!
In honor of Father's Day, MK made a card for her daddy in Sunday School. The statements are all so true of what she loves about her daddy. The pictures made us smile. The one on the left is a black curvy line with a blue square at the bottom - this represents The Dark Hole waterslide that she loved going on at the waterpark with Ryan. On the right, a colorful snowman. In June. 100+ temps. I am thinking she is only hoping for cooler weather!
