First Day of School
And then there were four. We have a high school gal, a middle school gal, and two elementary school gals. Two months in and we are still all smiling each day as we brave the early mornings together! While Maryn was a bit apprehensive about starting a new school, Chapman was so excited to have her sister on campus with her this year! Maryn officially wins the best school spirit award.....she has smiled every year and attended every type of school possible - homeschool, charter school, private school, and now public school. Each environment has been one she has enjoyed thankfully! She says she's in it for the candy parties this year....but, she's happy so we are rolling with it! The boys are settling into their new year.....Colin is officially adulting in another city while Pryce is living his best life at Clemson. Love these kiddos!
The girls are busy doing all the things....school, dance, ballet shows, horseback riding, theatre....shopping, styling hair (Maryn loves doing Chapman's hair for school AND she mastered doing her own bun for ballet!), carpool, picnics....we loved having the boys, Gran and Pop home for a weekend of family time - we were all troubled when it was time to say goodbye.
We celebrated Maryn's 10th birthday.....she chose to have a swim party with her dance friends and a sleepover/horseback riding party with two of her life-long friends. Maryn loves life most when she is surrounded by family, friends and food!
Maddox turned 13
Big birthday celebration....plural.
She had a dance friends swim party.....a paint party with her school friends and a surprise appearance by her favorite 6th grade teacher ever, Mrs. Walker, and she celebrated with family at Seabrook. How is my baby Maddox now a teen?!?!
And....Chapman is 7! Her dream came true....mommy allowed for snakes and other slimy/scaly animals to come to our house for a visit. She was in heaven the entire time! She was surrounded by her first grade friends from school and her documentary friends she watches almost daily on her Ipad. Her birthday was all planned by her.....complete with pinata and all!
MK was an Indian and a member of Flight for the CCB Fall show, Peter Pan. She was as beautiful as ever as she made her way across the stage throughout the evening! She will always be our ballerina girl!
HOCO 2022 MK was surrounded by her favorite girls plus a few guys....they spent an entire 17 minutes at the actual dance but had the very best time at a friend's house in the hot tub and paddle boat riding around the pond. Thankful for her sweet group of friends she has grown up with!
And last, but definitely not least, the boys....love that they enjoy each other's company even as they get older. These two had the best night sitting on the famous hill at the Clemson v NC State game together!
