Hot Pot

Last night we enjoyed a traditional "Hot Pot" dinner. To say that it was spicey doesn't even do it justice....it is HOT!!! The table has a pot in the middle with oils and spices, one part of our pot was supposed to be mild and the other was supposed to be hot....they were both spicy but the outside pot definitely had that burn going on after you put it in your mouth....Pryce took one look at the pot and promptly curled up in his little "sleep on the go" position....this is not uncommon for him. We really did enjoy the food....we have especially come to enjoy the fried rice (quite different from the US version) and the different hot teas to drink. Coke in my world is a thing of the past (not really, but for now the tea works). We love Chongqing so far....it is quite different from Beijing. There are a lot of hills and it is more green. We are now able to read your comments on our blog....in Beijing it wasn't possible but now we are able to bring them up....we love hearing from everyone! Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. In a few hours we will meet our guide to do paperwork....then we will go to the Civil Affairs office to get the girls at 2pm. YIPPEE! Pryce just came in and said, "I can't believe today we get to meet our baby sister"....his parents can't believe it either!

Oh, I so wish we'd been able to try the Hot Pots when in China. You'd think once out of 3 trips...
I can't wait to hear about the babies!! Best wishes and give Kirstin a big hug from me!

Wow! I even turned off my computer blocking program to look at your blogs! It is such a good feeling hearing about your travel and experiences. I'm glad you will have memories to tell Mason-Kate. I'm sure she will love to hear the stories, especially from her 2 big brothers. I would have acted like you in the airport, probably much worse. Keep us posted!

By now you're holding your precious girl and she's looking at all of you with wide-eyed wonder. Fast forward to this day next year. You'll be chasing a VERY active two year old who'll hug you unexpectedly and say "I love you" These are moments to be treasured and talked about as a family for years to come. These memories are all part of each of your stories. As precious as these are, they are just the beginning of a lifetime of treasured memories to come.
