Dance With The Best - We Are Augusta West

One year ago, the Maddox and Maryn decided to audition for a local dance company.  Though their big sister is all ballet, these two decided they wanted to change things up a bit.  They auditioned AND they GOT IN!  Maddox was invited to join the Junior Company while Maryn was invited to join the Mini Troupe.  It has been an amazing year....one of growth both in dance and in confidence.  Maddox set a goal to be awarded a convention scholarship....and she accomplished that and more!  Maryn spent most of her year just living her dream....hip hop dancing and drinking Coke when at conventions, lol.  We all made the best of friends with our dance family and memories galore!  I was named "Cool Mom" while Mads was deemed the "Contemporary Queen"

To say it has been a great year of dance is an understatement.  We are so excited for year 2!

This girl.  My baby girl.  My baby girl that cannot stand to be called the baby.

She wants to be big....and she is, that is the problem.  She keeps growing up!  I'm going to miss her naps on me, her cute little outfits, her sweet little crafts from school, our salon dates, her pure joy in riding the school bus, her sweet little voice.....she is just the perfect caboose to our crew and I thank God everyday for her life and the joy she not only brings to our family but to everyone she meets!  

 

A New Year

It's July yet I am looking at pics from January and reliving those moments.  

January was the calm before the storm.  We relaxed at times, celebrated MK and Ryan, said Happy 24th anniversary to us, said our goodbyes to the boys....Colin embarked on his last semester of college while Pryce began his second semester of Freshman year.  

Maryn learned how to ice skate....she was flying around the rink in no time at all - true Maryn style. 

MK celebrated 15 and was excited to get her Driver's Permit....she has worked really hard since then on taking the online driving course and driving us around town.  

Happy Birthday to Ryan!

And a rare snowfall made for an exciting evening/morning.  The girls were thrilled and all went out to see the powder....some were dressed appropriately while others went barefooted!
