Friday, we packed the boys' bags and sent them to Gran Camp. My mother, Gran, started this tradition three years ago and it is something the boys look forward to every year. This year they saw a pirate exhibit at the State Museum, visited the Krispy Kreme donut shop to watch how donuts are made (and eaten!), watched South Carolina practice baseball (great sports teams all around this year!), went out to dinner, collected food items for Harvest Hope Food Bank, created and performed a puppet show for my parent's neighbors, had their annual Harvest party, went to the park, ate whatever they wanted whenever they wanted, they rode the ATVs....and, the boys even managed to convince Pop to allow them to watch a Clemson football game under his roof. This is huge seeing as my father is not a Clemson fan AT.ALL - Pop played football back in his day for South Carolina, a full scholarship recipient at that, so South Carolina is how his blood rolls. He stutters when saying the word Clemson. The only kink to this weekend occurred on Saturday morning. Our phone rang. It was Colin. His throat hurts, like strep. His throat has little dots on it, like strep. He is running a low grade temp, like strep. He won't eat, just like strep. AGGGHHHH, strep. Thankfully, after a bit of pleading, our wonderful peds office called in a different (third) antibiotic and he was able to finish out his weekend as planned.
Meanwhile, back at home, MK said repeatedly that she missed her boys in between being showered with more than enough attention from her parents. We dined out, we shopped, we had lunch with the cast of the Nutcracker - a highlight, we had our nails done with one of her besties, we had a friend over, she went over to a friend's house, let's just say - she was more than entertained but her mind was never too far away from her boys. She loves them so.

This pic has nothing to do with this post but has everything to do with who MK is....she loves to feel pretty. In this particular pose, she is trying to show off her stick-on earrings. She discovered these a few weeks ago and now insists on wearing a pair each day. So cute. And oh so MK!
We continue our wait for LOA, our next approval. Today is Day 53. IF it comes this week, we will be ever so thankful. IF it doesn't, we will be ever so sad. We continue to realize that there is one who has a perfect timing in our adoption, so we will smile and wait. Or at least try :)
