Last weekend we celebrated.....and celebrated....and celebrated. First we celebrated our latest accomplishment in our adoption, Dossier To China!!! We made this a day for the children. The three of them chose going to the candy store to pick out some of their favs to take to the movie of their choice followed by dinner at the restaurant of their choice.
(**This pic is the result of the photographer having one idea in mind and not being able to capture it! Notice they are all wearing red for good luck as we proceed forward in our adoption)
This is the face you have when you eat Sour Patch gummies.

Next we celebrated Colin's half birthday - another six months older! Yikes, he is growing up too fast!
And this special day was followed by time spent with our nephew/cousin who turned 3 years old! We had a great day together with family attending my hometown Labor Day parade (a tradition) and singing Happy Birthday to Jay. Always great fun when the cousins are together topped off by Gran and Pop!
The big fun of the Labor Day parade is collecting the enormous amounts of candy that is thrown out from each participant in the parade. (I grew up going to this parade and chasing after the airborne candy. Imagine my disappointment when I went to Disney for the first time as a child and they did not throw out candy during their parade!) Our rule is you cannot cross the white line. Jay obeyed and pretty much stood in the above position for the 1 1/2 hour long event.
