Random Latest on the Drafts

Much to my dismay, Pryce has taken on the sport of football.  Bless.  He asked all summer and I did my best to avoid the inevitable.  But, alas, the text came from P one day that stated he could still join the team if he went to practice the very next day!  And....he offered to pay!  Who can say no to that?  It was/is important to him, so I am mustering up my own courage and allowing him to play his heart out on the field.  He absolutely loves playing football!  He loves hitting and getting hit....and he loves, loves, loves his teammates!  I offered many times for him to just be the designated water boy....I mean, after all, they are a vital part of the football team....but, Pryce had other ideas and being wide receiver is much more intriguing to him than the skills of a good water boy.  I am proud of this guy for not giving up on what he has wished for!
Sometimes reading on the stairs is the best place to read....especially when you have absolutely no clothes on!
This girl loves shoes! Big or small.....
These two....friends since the mere age of 5....friends for life!  Love them both and I love that they are conquering high school together!
 Solar Eclipse Day
We had three pairs of glasses....
and five of us!  But, it worked!  And there was no eye damage!
Because this little did not need to be even tempted by the eclipse happenings, we got the one thing that we knew would keep her busy while we watched - a DQ Blizzard for the win!
Chapman loves playing with sand on the porch....and though she is dressed most of the time, she does love to run around with minimal clothing when allowed :)
I hosted my Fall children's consignment sale and this was the line 30 minutes prior to the door opening for shoppers.  We began this sale when we were fundraising to bring Maryn home from China.  I have continued the sale to benefit other families who are adopting either domestically or internationally.  It is always a hit and I am thankful to be able to assist others in their quest to adopt!
One last summer trip to Seabrook Island....I asked my girls to turn and smile for a pic....Maddox and Maryn obeyed, Chapman said, "Nope!"
Most children find it fun to play with buckets and fill those with sand and water at the beach.....my children tend to be resourceful and use whatever they can find, hence, the ziplock bag!
Sometimes our littles get hungry and need a snack.....and sometimes the best way to eat a snack is just to tear right into it....
which then leads to a crumbly little face!
We were thankful for a little relaxing while we were away.....
and for friends who joined us for the weekend!
Trying to get two good group pics is sometimes a bit too much to ask!
This cutie decided to smile for me!  One year home....I am so thankful for this little one!
Big chairs make for big opportunities to get group pics of the adults!
Love, love, love this sweet girl!
And my little Maddox Ren....the owner of all truth and sass....she makes me so proud, keeps me in my place and loves me big!
Seabrook Sunset
You just haven't lived until you have experienced a Seabrook sunset....it's one of our favorite things about going to the beach!
A daddy and his baby girl....they hold us all together!
This season of life is busy.  I stay overwhelmed.  I pray that I remember this time well and can be helpful to my children when they are one day in this season.  It's hard....one applying to colleges and one throwing her best tantrum on the side.....finding time to devote to each of my six children is an art I have yet to accomplish.  I want so badly to be the best mom ever and for all to be happy all.of.the.time.  Thankful for a God who forgives when I have unrealistic expectations.  It is a life I always dreamed of....a big family, lots of noise and giggles, and never a dull moment!
